Today started out as a bright and happy day despite my drowsiness. However, it slipped fast and I was upset due to certain misunderstandings. For example, “don’t give newspaper to that guy for free” etcetc because the boss’ mom saw something and she misinterpreted it. In reality, the guy had already paid but the other RPh was using the register. Ah well, and then I just fell down a slippery slope. Especially since I was coughing. Thank goodness for Robitussin Long Lasting Cough gels. YAY.
However, several of my patients really cheered me up. First up, Mrs. Chan really made me smile a lot. On the phone, she realized I wasn’t Gail (RPh working today) ‘cause normally, everyone thinks I’m her. She definitely made me so happy to finally be recognized!
Then it was 2 other patients who complimented me on my Chinese. He was also so kind to me. He said if I can sort of read Chinese, I must be able to write. However, I can’t. SIGH.
Then Mrs. Chan came with her husband’s Rx and we chatted a bit. She apologized again for calling me Joann. She even said her daughter said that “omg, how can you forget that pretty girl’s name? I even remember it and it’s Jenny” . definitely made me smile the longest today. I’ll never forget them even if I move onto a new job.
They are definitely some of the reasons why I love pharmacy.
